Chinese

Just about every Japanese comic is also released in Chinese.  I am not going to attempt to duplicate the entire site here, but I will be listing Chinese titles within the bibliographies.  A site search on the word "Chinese" should produce a list of all the pages currently containing these titles; hopefully, I will over time be able to collect the Chinese titles for all of the comics listed here.

I should also apologize in advance for any wrongly transliterated titles.  I can only look the characters up in the dictionary, and I’m sure there will mistakes.

English

A considerable number of girls’ horror comics have appeared in English translation, although this is probably due simply to the early flood of imports.  Few were marketed as both horror and girls’ titles.

Dark Horse has invested some in girls’ horror, although their splatter horror titles are unlikely to attract new readers.  Funimation’s translations of the Hell Girl and Ghost Hunt animated series will hopefully do more toward popularizing the genre.  The closure of Studio Ironcat / I.C Entertainment has unfortunately put the status of most of the Kakinouchi titles in question, effectively removing some of the most popular titles from the English-language market.  But these translations do still show some of the variety available in girls’ horror.
