Takeo Iba is an alternate pen name of Leeza Sei, a former member of CLAMP.  Having only read the first volume of Gilgulim, I’m not in a position to give a proper review of Iba’s work.  But given my extremely low opinion of CLAMP, I must say I was pleasantly surprised.  Hopefully continuing experience as a solo artist also continued to improve her work.

In addition to the title piece, this volume contains Kiri no Monshou (霧の紋章), O-jou-sama wa Tadamono de wa Nai (お嬢さまはただものではない), and O-jou-sama wa Shinshi ga O-suki (お嬢さまは紳士がお好き).  I’m not sure about all the contents, but Kiri no Monshou, at least, appears to be a suspense title.

Other Works

Iba’s most well known title is the ladies’ comic Combination 1-6, begun while she was still associated with CLAMP and continued independantly under the name Leeza Sei.  The series and its associated art book Combination F(A/U)N Book were published by Kobunsha (光文社).

Leeza Sei has also contributed to the "boys’ love" anthology Generous, put out by Ohtoh Shobo (桜桃書房) under Gust Comics.
